Fresh Mint Iced Tea
1 bunch of fresh mint, leaves removed
5 C filtered water
Raw honey (optional)
Ice, for serving
Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
Instructions
Remove the mint leaves from the stems. Wash, rinse, and dry the leaves, removing any dirt particles. Heat the filtered water. Place the mint leaves in a strainer over a medium-large bowl, and pour the hot water over the leaves. Make sure the leaves remain submerged in the hot water. Let steep for 10-15 minutes.
Once the tea is finished steeping, remove the strainer and discard the leaves. If adding honey, stir a little in now while the tea is hot. Pour the tea into a pitcher, let it cool. Then, place it in the fridge to get cold. Serve over ice with a little sprig of mint.
