We're moving...Again! And, it's our one year newsletter anniversary!
Plus, a nourishing brown rice veggie bowl and a new playlist by Andre.
Happy Anniversary!
This past Saturday, May 11th, marks the 1 year anniversary of the Barrett and The Boys newsletter and Andre and I can hardly believe it. We joined this platform to create an intimate and deeper connection with our audience, one we felt had gotten lost in the Instagram algorithm, and to build a space where our recipes and love of good food, travel, and parenthood could live and easily be accessed by you. Writing this newsletter is truly a highlight of our week, and we pour so much time, energy, creativity, and resources into making something valuable for those supporting us and all who have chosen to follow along. Because of your support, we have been able to do this for the past year, and we just wanted you to know how grateful we are for each of you. A few milestones to celebrate:
Wrote and emailed 52 weekly newsletters
Grew our subscribers to almost 6,000
Established ourselves in the top 5% of publishers on Substack
Developed over 75 new recipes for our paid subscribers
Shared our journey of moving from Los Angeles to Italy
Documented our progress in getting Andre and the boys their Italian Citizenship
Created travel guides and restaurant reviews of favorites in LA and Italy
As a thank you to all of you, we are offering a FLASH SALE of our 1-year subscription! For the next few days (we’ve extended the offer to 5/26/24), you can join our community of paid subscribers for just $50, by buying a 1 year subscription. That's only .66 cents a recipe! So, if you've wanted to join but $80 was outside the budget, now is the time. We have so many amazing things in store for this year and can't wait to share it all with you! x
My New Favorite Lunch
Whenever I make the Tahini Brownies, I always have a little tahini left in my jar, and this little bit inspired this dressing. Now, I finally have a way to use it up! Feel free to play around with this dish by using different types of grains or veggies, as the real star is the Tahini Lemon Dressing...so don't be afraid to add an extra drizzle. I've been eating this brown rice veggie bowl all week long for lunch, and it's so satisfying and delicious. The best part is your body feels really good after eating it, which is always my goal whenever I create recipes for all of you and cook for our family.
