A Miso dressing you'll want to eat on every salad you make, juicy summer fruit on toast, and saying goodbye to our Atwater Village home.
Plus, a bit of This & That.
The End of an Era
One of the most significant chapters of our lives is closing…we sold our home in Atwater Village. Andre and I bought the house over a decade ago, a charming Spanish bungalow on the east side of LA that immediately felt like home when we walked into it many years ago. So many iterations of our business, Valleybrink Road, were born out of this space from catering to gifting to floral design. This house allowed us to build those businesses and grow our company into what it is today. These rooms have seen so much of our story, from newlyweds to eventually becoming parents of three beautiful boys. We cooked incredible meals in this kitchen, laughed until we cried with our closest friends, and grew as individuals and as a couple here, always supported and held safely within these walls. I love this house and am so grateful for its time in our lives.
We're here for a few more weeks, packing up what remains of our belongings before we head out on our new adventure. It's been hard for us all to return to the space, especially the kids—empty rooms, echoing sounds, the smell of fresh paint. The house is no longer ours, yet we're still here for a moment. But I also feel a sense of calm and relief about letting go of what was in order to fall fully into what is on the horizon. I'm ready for this big, wild adventure to begin, and I still can't believe a far-off dream we held in our hearts for so long is weeks away from becoming a reality.
*And, a huge thank you to Anthony Stellini, our real estate agent, who has been a guiding light during this complicated and emotional process. We are so grateful for you and your incredible team!

Fruit + Toast
Summer is the season to leave the jam in the pantry and reach for fresh fruit to top your morning toast. Especially in California right now, the fruit is so sweet and juicy that it melts in your mouth when you take a bite. You can't go wrong if the fruit is ripe and ready to go, from peaches and nectarines to raspberries and strawberries.
